COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
Information and communications technology which is abbreviated as ICT, is usually a more general term that explains the role of communications and the integration of telecommunications (telephone lines and wireless signals), computers, middleware as well as necessary software, storage- and audio-visual systems, which enable users to create, access, store, transmit, and manipulate information. For example magnetic disk/'tape, optical disks - CD/DVD, flash memory, radio, television etc.
ICT is a bedrock subject that is taught in both primary and secondary schools. Which is helpful to students in using programs like Tutors, and other forms of Computer Assisted learning (CAL) to gain knowledge on their own.
It has over time changed the face of our entertainment industry, and integrated the needed technology to advance entertainment in our society.
It is a source of employment developing countries through business outsourcing from companies in the developed world.
The medical sector is one of the beneficiaries of ICT in recent time because of the emergence of diverse medical approaches like telemedicine and advanced diagnosis processes.
