TOPIC:        NON ORCHESTRA INSTRUMENT

Specific objectives: By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

i.       Mention all non-orchestra instruments.

ii.     States the differences between an orchestra and non-orchestra instruments

Non Orchestra Instrument: Non Orchestra instruments are those western musical instruments that are not used in Orchestra.

(A)           Keyboard Instruments: Piano, organs, harmonium, accordion, melodion, spinet, harpsichord, clavichord and so on.

(B)            Strings: Strings instruments like guitar and harp are added recently in the Orchestra.

Guitar; lead guitar, classical guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar

Evaluation Questions: Answer the following questions.

1.     What is the difference between orchestra and non-orchestra instrument?

2.     Mention a striking difference between strings in the orchestra instrument and strings in the non-orchestra

3.     Mention the keyboard instruments that you have studied.
