Topic: ENHARMONIC NOTES
Specific Objectives:
By the end of this lesson, Students should be able to memorize the 12 major keys and their enharmonic equivalent
ENHARMONIC NOTE.
Enharmonic notes are those musical notes that sound the same but are written differently for example, after C note in the keyboard system comes C sharp which is also known as D flat. When a note has more than one letter name while it possesses the same sound, it is called an enharmonic note.
C# = Db
Eb = D#
E = Fb
F# = Gb
G# = Ab
A# = Bb
B = Cb
and so on

TOPIC: NIGERIAN ART MUSICIANS
Specific Objectives:

NIGERIAN ART MUSICIANS
There are many notable art musicians in Nigeria today, some of them are music educators in various institutions, they have made great landmarks in their various areas of specialization, such as music composition, music technology, and music education and so on. Some of them are Professors, doctors, instrumentalists and performers.
They include:

3. HRH. Prof. Lazarus Ekwueme.
4. Prof. Richard Okafor
5. Prof. Christian Onyeji

1) William Wilberforce Echezona (Prof): Wilberforce was a great pioneer of art musician in Africa, born on 18th August 1926 and died in November 1987 after a long illness in a London hospital. Wilberforce a native of Ogidi town in Anambra state was a prolific composer and organist.
He introduced various music programmes in both radio and television. He also established the department of music in University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1960. Some of his compositions are: Egwu Obi, Obu-ije-ozim, Akwa-Eke, Centenary song (1957) others include; verspers and responses, Te-deum, Nune Dimitis, and Psalm 150.
2) Samuel N.B Ojukwu (Sir): Sam was born on 12 November, 1940 to Rev. Samuel Bumuneme and Caroline Ojukwu. His father was a native of Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
In 1952 Sam got admitted into Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha.
There he was the school organist and later became the choirmaster at the All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha.
In 1961, he gained admission into the University of Nigeria Nsukka to study English Literature, but was later advised to study music. Today Sam Ojukwu is a well-known art musician in Nigeria who has arranged, composed and performed so many art and sacred songs.
Sam has composed so many sacred songs for both Anglican and Catholic Church. Some of his compositions are: Sacred songs

4. Onye ihe n’agara nke oma (Ps. 128)
5. Otito na Nsopuru (Catholic hymn Book 210)

7. Dibia ukwu (1983)
8. Je deum Landamus in Native air (1984)
9. Alleluia Amen (1984)
Some of his secular compositions are:
1. Ikemefuna (1966)
2. Akwa Ana-ebere ego
3. The University of Nigeria Song (1964)
4. The Niger Diocesan Anthem
