Specific objectives:

By the end of this lesson, the students should be able to:

·                Define the internet

·                Define an internet browser

·                List different types of internet browsers they know

THE INTERNET: This is defined as the global communication network that connects computer networks around the world. The internet can be accessed through internet connected computers and phones.

People can communicate over the internet by the use of social media which can only function when internet is connected to your device.

INTERNET BROWSER: An internet browser is a software application use for accessing information on the internet. Without an internet browser installed in a computer or a smartphone, the computer user cannot be able to access the internet.

There are different types of internet browsers that can be installed in our computers and smart phones, namely:

·                Mozilla fire fox: For browsing on the desktop or laptop computer.

·                Internet explorer: Also used for browsing on the desktop or laptop computer.

·                Opera mini: Mostly used for browsing on our smartphones.

·                Uc browser: Also mosly used for browsing on smartphones.

·                Google chrome: Can be used on our desktops or smartphones for browsing

·                Safari   etc
